yay vespa...

ooohhh neon lights... got chased by security after i took this one. but i shook him.

my recommendation is if you're this tired after work, just go home... this girl was passed out, i wonder if that was her vespa out there.

09.12.07 - first shot with my camera...

two days in a row without shooting? yeah... life happens, sorry. heres the first shot I ever took with my 20d back in Feb of 2006, i love the fact that its tottaly out of focus. :)

09.10.07 - larkins in dc

Maybe i'll start doing title pics for the shoots I do? The above shot is a reflection. My friend Daniel and his wife just got married over in Germany and are spending a few weeks here in the states. I got to take them to DC (part of the reason why I went on saturday, so I'd know where I was going)

lighting was so hard because it was pretty much dark and i don't have fast lenses and i'm not 100% comfortable with using my flash... i tried to give this a real vintage feel in the post.

i was dragging the shutter to get a good exposure and it gave this pic a nice soft focus.

i would call this the rock star pic

newlyweds are fun to shoot... :) look at that look she's giving him.

09.08.07 - DC

7am on the metro... we're hardcore. why is morning light so delecious?!

i've lived in MD for 17 years and I think this is only like my 6th time to dc... lame jim lame.


pretty stock looking shots, but i enjoyed the morning light. i think dc is probably one of the most overshot places.

i definitely got told to stop shooting in the metro station by a security guard. theres no signs posted... i stopped and walked down another floor. i also got the metro to honk at me (which scared the CRAP out of me, i guess he thought i was to close... you can see how close i was in the pic, i seriously stood there shaking for the next few minutes) but i did get this shot out of it. :)

since i've been seeming to include some type of portrait of myself and whoever i'm shooting with... here ya go.

overall dc was a bit of a disapointment. the whitehouse is so far from the gate that you can't really see it. the washington monument is just a giant stick in the ground... this was my first time to the vietnam memorial, i expected it to be a lot bigger. When i start running out of ideas I'm going to start going back to places and getting some of the shots I think I could improve on.

09.07.07 - :(

so... i didn't shoot at all tonite, i had my camera with me all of tonite and didn't take a single shot. I'm so broke right now that I did security for a freaking high school football game... this was me "sir, i can't have you on the track" "ma'am I can't have you on the track." lame huh?

i carried my camera and felt like an absolute tool but couldn't really leave my post to shoot. not that I would have anyway...

but tonites pic is something that someone just sent me, its a self portrait of myself in some cafe in mexico from this summer... nothing special but tell me if you know why i'm posting this picture.


this post is lame I KNOW... i'll make up for it tomorrow, i'm meeting Chris Hidey at 7am at the metro station to go into DC.

09.06.07 - cornfield with caleb

alien abudction in a cornfield.
'high def resolution' more like it was shot at iso1600 so i had to do something with it...

yeah cornfields.

i'm to tired to look up my settings... just don't ever ever shoot at iso 1600 on purpse... cause it looks like poo.
