sd 750 - 209.99
well this will be my third change up in my wishlist. Cheryl pointed me to this camera which is $30 more than the one I was looking at. When I did a bit of research it looked almost identical when it came to functions as the sd 1000 which is $30 cheaper. BUT I went to Staples today to buy some magnet tape and I stopped to look at the cameras and they had them both side by side. So I picked up t he sd750, it has a much sleeker look and a .5in bigger screen which makes a big deal. It doesn't have the small viewfinder which a lot of people like but I don't think i'd use it that much anyway. So sleeker look and a bigger lcd screen... I'd pay an extra $30 for that.
These cameras also take the new sdhc cards... I don't know what that means but I found a 4gig card for... $37.01
Along with looking at these things I also looked at my bank account today... and well I have just enough money to survive in Hawaii for the three months I will be there so no extras anytime soon unless I get a portrait gig before I leave or I can sell these cymbals I'm trying to sell.
If you or anyone is interested in getting some portraits done for the upcoming holidays let me know. Or if you know of anyone that is looking for a set of Sabian AAX cymbals tell them to contact me.
If you want to see some of my portrait work you can see it here.

Hi Jim, looking for another camera? Like I mentioned, I have the Canon 20D with the 18-55mm and 28-200mm lenses. I also have a Casio point & shoot.
hey jim!
it's an EXCELLENT camera--i got it for my sister for her bday and my dad liked it so much, he got one for himself.
so yes, we are a canon sd750 family. except for me...i'm still hardcore film! :) (but i still borrow it occasionally) haha
avc8teur, i am indeed just "looking" for a point and shoot i think it'd be fun to have.
sarailly... a film buff huh? i got away from film as soon as I could...

It is a sweet camera. I got mine from Office Depot and it came with a free Canon printer. I love the large LCD screen and have never used the viewfinder. Like you said, you really don't need one when the screen is so large.
i wanta new digi! mine is old and...not good. ahahah
I don't know much about cameras but I love my Canon S3IS.
Jim, I laughed at your comment about running around trying to find a place to take a sky picture. That was exactly what I did! The sky really changes quickly too.
Hi Jim - I have this camera - the SD750. Its my first digital camera - sort of just like multipurpose. The camera is great but I find that I am so spoiled from working with SLRs that I hardly ever use it because the little versatility is just not what I am used to. But for taking pictures of your friends and stuff I'd say its great. BUT that's all its good for. What can I say, I'm a camera snob haha.
I answered your questions on my blog about the pics I posted. I will continue to post pics on my blog. Hope you get EVERYTHING on your wish list!
hey... yeah someone else has told me that I'm going to be really frustrated with a p/s because i'm so used to shooting with a dslr. I just want something that I will be able to shoot with it all situations. we'll see what happens. :)
