I like it. The violin has character with the dust and tiny nicks and stuff, and the background isn't distracting; it adds to the photo.

The last one wasn't so bad either. :D

i put this up for critique on photo.net and a couple of ppl don't like the dust...

thanks for taking the time to comment.

jeff i watched some of that movie yesterday before work... it was pretty funny and well done for a home video style project.

nice shot.

however

looking at it, i feel like something isn't right.

i think some warming filters would make this shot a but better, basically i feel like the violin is too cold....

i dunno..

timmah... i wish all screens came calibrated so that we KNEW that we were all looking at the same thing...

cause i warmed it up quite a bit from the original...

thanks though man.

i actually found out that with macs, at least with mine theres a way to calibrate it manually.

under your control panel go to displays and then click color. and then click calibrate. its kinda confusing though, and i was too lazy to go all the way through it, since i have the spyder.

lemme know if it works for you.

so i just went through the apple calibration real quick, since i haven't gotten the time to use the spyder yet. and looked at the shot again, and it looks pretty good..

cool... i wanna calibrate real bad cause i wanna know how my work REALLY looks... its sad that different monitors are calibrated differently so people might be looking at my work and thinking it looks like crap... :(
